Wasn't the Royal Wedding just perfect? Kate's gown reminded me of Princess Grace of Monaco, just lovely. From the TV broadcast I could see she carried Lily of the Valley. Known for its sweet scent in Spring. It is a perennial that spreads and grows to 4 or 5 inches in height. Its meaning is sweetness, purity and was known as Eve's tears from the Garden of Eden.
For table scapes mix and match or borrow from a friend or relative. I visit the local discount stores and collect odd pieces to fill out my table. Don't forget to save the Easter tulips, hyacinth, and daffodil plants. Cut the flower stems and use sugar water, changing the vase water frequently. The plants will need to store energy for next season so Do Not cut the foliage until it withers and turns yellow. I plant them directly in my garden following the holiday. Some people will store the bulbs in a cool dark place and plant them in the fall. Happy growing!

Spring is here!! Yipeeee, I'm out in the gardens and loving every moment.
I just love the sweets at a party. Use your imagination for displaying the different types of foods. Cover small boxes to raise platters if you don't have any tiered assemblies. Try unusual containers to add interest.
